So to confirm, someone reported to Moderna who witnessed 68 deaths following vaccination by lot# 012L20A , Moderna then reported all 68 as "one case" to VAERS?
It is unknown when they died, but you know the batch number expired July 6, 2021, so given this information and it appears to be a cluster of deaths (from same batch), they likely died before the end of 2021 is your assumption?

The boiler plate veribage "68 people died... this is report "x" of 68...", could have been constructed by the manufacturer themselves? A entity like a hospital or even the PA State Health Department could have submitted this "batch" of reports to Moderna. There is absolutely no identifying info, not even symptoms as only one symptom of "death" was submitted to VAERS. I believe the manufacturer has more details on each and every report, like victim name, dob, age, sex, dates of all sorts and symptoms/diagnosis.
Therefore, I believe at the manufacturer level they compiled all reports for this one lot# from PA, then submitted them individually to VAERS? Is Moderna sitting on more death reports from this lot# from other states? Quite possibly yes. Is the delay at the hospital, State Dept Health or at the manufacturer level submitting to VAERS? Is VAERS sitting on them, but also manipulating the manufacture's time stamp and the time stamp of when Moderna sent the report to VAERS? I'm sure Moderna crosswalked to VAERS, it was not given directly to VAERS by hospital or victim relative. It may have been given to Moderna as a batch(s) by a hospital or PA state health department. Some reports may have been reported to Moderna directly from victim relative. The majority of people around the country were just given a manufacturer hotline to call if they had an adverse event or the moderna website: https://report.moderna.convergehealthsafety.com/form/vaccine-event. Considering all the commonalities of each report like all males, all one lot#, all PA, no vax dates, no ages, no death dates etc... It's should be unusual unless Moderna has that info but omitted from reports TO VAERS. I think Moderna cherry picked what reports to send to VAERS and VAERS does nothing in the adjudication process to request additional info from Moderna. It's possible that a hospital in PA took forever to submit to Moderna, but common how inept can an institution be? It's more plausible all the obfuscation is with the manufacturer. However I doubt Moderna would complain to VAERS is they sat on the reports and delayed publishing them? If VAERS delayed publishing that means they had to manipulate the "receive/entered date". So you are pretty sure it was Moderna that made this report, based on reports to them? Not some hospital or nursing home nurse?
