Absolutely! For domestic USA data, regarding lot info you get pinched on both ends with reports having either no lot# or no state or either combination.
With foreign data there is added known data stripping from countries participating in EudraVigilance and YellowCard aka EMA and MHRA. Those participating strip among other data elements the two-digit country code. Thank God we still now what reports are coming from Australia and Japan as an example.
To be clear the foreign data is coming over, but being withheld in publication with respects to the European reports as per the blurbs in the CDC VAERS guidelines. At face value when the age field is missing yet properly documented in the summary narrative, we are forced to assume it was a typo oversight by the submitter? However this proves VAERS does not publish any data they have updated or edited? The devil is in the details, I think these CDC gargoyles are systematically stripping out age, vax dates, death dates, states that were submitted before final publication! CDC will pee on your leg and tell you it is raining.... God Bless

Yes, as you say in the final sentence - they are stripping the data intentionally. If they have lots of holes it is more difficult to construct a cohesive narrative, especially when we are working behind the 8-ball anyway.
Relatedly, I have had to abandon examination of excess mortality data in Australia for the above reason. It is no longer fit-for-purpose by intent.
