Highly skilled Biostatistician drops Moab VAERS bombs!
This biomedical researcher is also contributing a chapter in Vera Sharav's upcoming book!
This is the first time I get to tell my audience, my website and myself will be referenced in Vera Sharav’s new upcoming book via my friend Hervé Seligmann. It is such an honor to have met Hervé via a mutual friend. This mutual friend by the way also presented at the Senator Ron Johnson Roundtable talks back in 2022, I think it was the 2nd one. Anyhow it’s good to know that within high levels of “biostatisticians” circles, I’m on the list of people to call!
Hervé has been frantically working on a 5,000 word chapter for Vera’s new book that has to do in part with biostatistics and it’s manipulation. See! I’ve always said the crazy train has to pass through Eaglesville sooner or later.
In Hervé’s 30 minute video presentation he explains some main points that will most likely make it into the book. Here is some main points of the data manipulation in VAERS that I didn’t even know…:
The more severe the child reports are the more obfuscated they are. Aka missing age fields and other missing data.
Women, particularly women of child bearing age is the same thing. The more severe the report the more obfuscation.
Death reports are more than twice as likely to have a UNKNOWN state as all other reports (domestic). This I knew, now Hervé does too.
Congratulations to Hervé for doing what I always envisioned my dashboard being for the biostatistics community. I’m creating the tools for the biomedical researchers to do their thing.
